Stories always fascinated me. Somehow that's in the family, I guess. My great-grandfather and his son, my grandfather, were both storytellers in the literal sense. They told legends and fairytales to audiences.

So, besides my passion for music, that is also a part of me.

I started to discover film from the perspective of a Sounddesigner. The power of imagination sparked by the audible was, and still is, breathtaking to me.

But I wanted to be closer to the core of the narrative. So I began editing film. As an assistant and apprentice at first, piecing images of the film we were working on together. After hours, for practice. Eventually I was given the opportunity to work as an associate and later as a full editor. The energy of the film in the editorial, emerging through the combination of footage, still moves me.

I yearned for a wider perspective though. So I decided to give myself the space to further comprehend the medium film as a student - although I still worked as an editor, applying what I learned.

Three shortfilms and various other projects later I am still humbled by the depth of storytelling in film and I combine the different aspects of my career. As a Sounddesigner, as an Editor, as a Director.
